We were inspected by the Care Inspection for an unannounced inspection of our Kingdom 2 registered services between 15th and 28th April. The services covered by Kingdom 2 are Cupar, Kennoway, Balfarg, Locheil, Collydean, Kirkcaldy Outreach, Saunders and James Bank Outreach.
We’re extremely proud to share that the inspection went exceptionally well, with a rating of ‘Very Good’ (5) awarded in every area:
- How well do we support people’s wellbeing? 5 – Very Good
- How good is our leadership? 5 – Very Good
- How good is our staff team? 5 – Very Good
- How well is our care and support planned? 5 – Very Good
Inspectors visited three of our services, Saunders Court, Kennoway and Collydean, and spoke with people we support, their families, staff and stakeholders. They also reviewed our documentation across all areas, including care planning, recruitment, training, audits and policies.
The report praised the kindness, care and compassion shown by our teams, describing:
“Trusting relationships.”
“Warm and comfortable interactions.”
“…care that was person-centred, compassionate and dignified.”
“Support provided with love and affection.”
We were recognised for upholding people’s human rights, having a strong focus on continuous improvement, and encouraging ongoing learning and development for our colleagues.
Staff also told inspectors they felt valued, and that their skills and contributions were appreciated, a reflection of the culture we’ve worked hard to build.
