Kingdom Support and Care Participation Group

Participation Group

Kingdom Support and Care have its own Participation Group, made up of members from supported individuals across our services. The group is led by Heather Simmons who is an external independent facilitator, they meet once every eight weeks to discuss current topics and to continuously improve services.

Below is the People’s Charter:

  • Kingdom Support and Care shall see every one as a unique individual.
  • Support plans and support shall be centred around what each person needs and wants in their life.
  • Kingdom Support and Care shall work together as equals with all people we support and have an involvement in their life.
  • Kingdom Support and Care will strive to involve people we support in areas such as: recruitment, training and any other events we may be involved in.
  • Kingdom Support and Care shall ensure each person has a named keyworker and where it is appropriate a co-keyworker.
  • Kingdom Support and Care will support people to discuss any concerns they have and work towards a solution.
  • Kingdom Support and Care shall ensure each service has service meetings with people we support and their representatives.
  • Kingdom Support and Care will strive to provide support with a familiar and consistent staff team and where there may have to be changes people shall be made aware of changes in advance.
  • Kingdom Support and Care shall introduce new staff through shadowing staff who have established relationships with people we support.
