Job Description

In this role, you will become part of the support team ensuring a high quality of care and support is delivered to individuals within central West Fife both in a hostel setting and within their own homes. Support is provided to individuals in their own home on an outreach basis as well as support for our homeless provision of the service.

Within this service specifically we provide high quality support and guidance to individuals all aged 16+. As a Support Worker you will work with the service users to ensure needs and outcomes are being provided for.

The role is centered around understanding the day to day challenges faced by people with homelessness issues, including addictions, substance misuse, mental health aspects and learning and physical disabilities.

The role also provides outreach support to people in their own homes and outreach support services, to develop and maintain independent living skills and to take part in activities in the community.

Requirements

  • A current driving licence, business insurance and the use of a car for work purposes are essential.
  • This post is subject to a PVG Disclosure check.
  • Understanding and experience of homelessness work is preferred however not essential.
