Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic, fun and caring individuals to join our Slamannan Service, which covers Stenhousemuir, Camelon.

The individuals we support within this service area all have their own interests and needs, however a common theme is that they all enjoy a day out. Whether that be simply a walk in the park or a coffee out they all would agree there is nothing better than an adventure away from the doors.

They want people to come and join the team who will take them places and do things with them that they enjoy. As individuals they all like different things – Robbie loves his dance music, going out for dinner and the boxing gym. Zain is non verbal but he certainly makes himself heard, he loves music, laughing and trampolining. Julie on the other hand loves to cook, going out for a walk or to the Time Capsule and anything Mama Mia.

The people we support, like us all, can have days where they are not as happy and up for the fun things in life. These are the days when they probably need us and the great support we provide the most. Great support knows what to do at any given time but we will always help you with this so you know how to respond in any given situation.

Now don’t worry if you have no direct experience within this field of work as we train you and our supported individuals keep you in check telling you just how they like to do things. More importantly, know that personal care is only a very small part of the role and for some of the supported individuals it is not necessary at all.

Those with high empathy and tolerance along with a great sense of humour are key to success in what at times can be a challenging but rewarding role.

If this sounds like a role you might be interested in then we want to hear from you.
